The present invention relates to a method for stabilising vegetable, marine and single cell oils/oil concentrates as well as pigments like astaxanthin and canthaxanthin with regard to oxidation. It also relates to a feed for salmonids, and a method for optimising the effect of the pigment in feed for salmonids. Furthermore, the invention relates to a health care product and a composition for prophylaxis or therapeutical treatment. Essential features by the invention are treatment by or presence of amines/amides.
