The invention relates to a method for production of metal or metal-alloy elements of high purity, in particular chromes, characterised in comprising the following method steps: production of a metal or a metal alloy with non-metallic inclusions essentially comprising basic metal oxides, aggregation of the metal or the alloy with a reducing agent to form briquettes or tablets, treatment of the briquettes or tablets under vacuum such that the reducing agent reacts with the inclusions without significant sublimation of the metal or the metals of the alloy and removal of a surface layer from the briquettes or tablets. Applicable in the production of mechanical pieces made from super-alloys .
