The spectacles frame (2), especially for wear when participating in sports, has laying surfaces (9) at the bridge (5) and the holding clip (14) where the safety covering (12) is fitted. This gives an unambiguous and defined position between the first bridge and the holding clip. Grooves are at the upper and/or lower side of the bridge, to hold at least one ratchet lock (21,22) of the holding clip, which supports a safety lens (13) on either side to shroud the spectacles lenses.
