A method for regulation of a gas burner (1), especially a blower (2) with an electronic control (3) that outputs a set signal corresponding to a given burner power for air and fuel (4, 5) amounts. An exhaust gas sensor (6) is provided for measuring carbon monoxide concentration. At periodic intervals a calibration is carried out in which the fuel air mixture in made richer until a threshold value is reached at which stage the air content is measured and finally a new fuel air ratio determined by making the mixture leaner.
