摘要 PURPOSE: An air conditioner using a hydrogen storage alloy is provided to prevent environmental pollution by heating and cooling without using refrigerant with exothermic reaction or endothermic reaction between the hydrogen storage alloy and hydrogen, and to decrease expenses and noise by reducing the volume and the size with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a body(10) having a hollow heat exchange chamber(11); a heat exchange unit having two pairs of reaction parts(20,30) connected to reactors filled with hydrogen storage alloy in the heat exchange chamber to absorb or radiate heat by emitting or occluding hydrogen; a duct unit(40) guiding air flow into the heat exchange chamber; a duct switching unit(50) selectively switching the passage of the heat exchange chamber and the duct unit to communicate with the heat exchange unit; and a blowing unit(60) forcibly sucking air in the heat exchange chamber through the duct unit, and discharging air from the heat exchange unit. Heating or cooling is performed by radiating or absorbing heat in occluding or emitting hydrogen.
