PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone master apparatus in which units can be arranged properly for one's dominant hand, an apparatus configuration suitable for a handset speech and hands-free speech can be adopted and simplifying inter-unit connections can be simplified. SOLUTION: The interphone master apparatus is provided with: speech operation units 1a, 1b, 1c having speech operation sections 5a, 5b, 5c; a monitor unit 2 having a monitor section 6; and a lower case 3 having a terminal section connected to a slave apparatus, and each unit is mounted in a manner that the left/right sides can be freely exchanged. The speech operation unit is configured by selecting one of: a handset unit 1a which can be used also for a hands-free operation and has a handset 5a and a hands-free speech button 8; a handset unit 1b having a handset 5b; and a hands-free unit 1c for making a hands-free speech in a reply operation to a call and terminating the call in the re-operation.
