The thermal closure valve has a mechanically acting expansion element (6) and shuts off a liquid flow immediately without the input of external energy with an axially moving a sliding element (2) and suitable sealing rings (20). The device operates without electric current. Very fast, pressure-tight sealing up to a maximum of 400 bars with zero output quantity takes place with a spring-loaded mechanism.
