<p>Smooth yarn with a high brightening power, suitable for use in woven textile fabrics, contains high-gloss pigments (I) selected from metal effect pigments, pearly lustre pigments and/or interference pigments. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) smooth yarn obtained by (a) mixing additives as a spinneret color in a spinning melt to give a spinning fluid containing a concentrated plastic mixture containing (I), (b) forcing the fluid through spinning nozzles by a melt-spinning, wet-spinning and/or dry-spinning process to produce filaments, (c) cooling, (d) stretching to increase filament strength and (e) twisting the filaments to yarn; (2) textile floor covering with an enhanced optical effect and permanent brightness, comprising a base woven fabric (filling warp, weft and binder warp filaments) and a top cover with a fibre pile containing smooth yarn; and (3) a method for the production of floor covering by the pile wire technique using a top cover containing smooth yarn.</p> |
