METHOD FOR SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS AND MASS PROPAGATION FROM EMBRYOGENIC CELL CULTURES OF DICENTRA SPECTABILIS

PURPOSE: A method for somatic embryogenesis and mass propagation from embryogenic cell cultures of Dicentra spectabilis is provided, thereby effectively resolving problems caused by conventional cuttage method and seed germination having low breeding effect. CONSTITUTION: A method for somatic embryogenesis and mass propagation from embryogenic cell cultures of Dicentra spectabilis comprises the steps of: cutting zygote embryo derived from Dicentra spectabilis seeds, and seed leaf, hypocotyl, roots and flower stalk tissue of a young plant germinated from the zygote embryo of Dicentra spectabilis seeds with a knife under aseptic condition to prepare culture fragments; culturing the culture fragments in an MS solid medium containing 0.1 to 8 mg/l of auxin(2,4-D) to induce embryo-forming callus; independently culturing the embryo-forming callus in MS or SH solid or broth medium to induce somatic embryo; germinating the somatic embryo to produce young plants of Dicentra spectabilis; and transplanting the young plants of Dicentra spectabilis in the soil.
