ADDRESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BINARIZATION

PURPOSE: An addressing method is provided to address buffered prior binary image data necessary when a threshold is generated in order to convert multi-level image data into bi-level image data by considering a vertical resolution and a horizontal resolution of an image output device. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. It is checked whether a horizontal resolution is the same as a vertical resolution in an image processing device(10). If the horizontal resolution is the same as the vertical resolution, prior image data stored at a buffer is normally output to a threshold generator(12). Otherwise, the prior image data is addressed by considering the ratio of the horizontal resolution versus the vertical resolution and output to the threshold generator(14).
