<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AGC circuit capable of conducting proper gain control for both a reception start and the post-establishment of synchronization. <P>SOLUTION: Prior to synchronization holding, gain control is performed using a reception signal (noise is superimposed) before being inputted into a correlator after the establishment of synchronization, gain control is performed using a reception signal (noise is removed) to which reverse spread spectrum processing is conducted by the correlator. According to this method, the influence of the gain control by noise is eliminated; hence, stable and proper gain control can be implemented even in a communication environment of severe fading or noise. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
