<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time of cards. <P>SOLUTION: A card reader/writer 2 of this card processing system includes a card read/write part for reading data to be retrieved from an IC card 1; a memory for storing a record table composed of the start data and end data of a retrieval range and checked digital number data indicating the number of digits to be checked; and a control part (CPU) which converts the start data and the end data by substituting 0 into the portion of the start data other than the digits to be checked and F into the portion of the end data other than the digits to be checked, on the basis of the number of digits to be checked in the record table stored in the memory. When the data are read from the IC card 1, retrieval is performed only for the retrieval object data itself and range retrieval for the start data and end data converted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
