<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spread spectrum transmitter and a spread spectrum receiver in an M-ary/SS system which is capable of raising the transmission rate while suppressing the increase in the circuit scale as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A spread spectrum transmitter which adds different lengths of delay to SS signals in a plurality of channels an multiplexes the SS signals to generate transmission multiplexed SS signals, and a spread spectrum transmitter which calculates partial correlation values between the transmission multiplexed SS signal and respective SS signals multiplied by the spread codes, calculates a plurality of orthogonal correlation values about respective orthogonal code sequences by multiplying the partial correlation values by a prescribed matrix formed based on orthogonal code sequences, specifies a parallel data sequences for respective channels associated in advance with the orthogonal code sequences for which the orthogonal correlation values are maximum, corrects the delay difference for respective parallel data sequences, and executes a sampling and parallel-to-serial conversion step to obtain a serial-demodulated data sequence, are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
