摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control electrode structure capable of securing distance accuracy between a cathode and a control electrode to an extent preventing degradation of image quality even in a high-definition cold-cathode display device, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: Stripe-shaped electrodes 6 are formed on substrate glass 4, and a cold-cathode material 3 is stacked on it. Partitions 2 are formed in parallel with the substrate electrodes 6 between the substrate electrodes 6, and the control electrode 1 is disposed perpendicularly to the substrate electrodes 6 on the partitions 2. The control electrode 1 is fixed to the partitions 2 by a glass frit 5. One end of the control electrode 1 is connected to a metal wiring electrode 7 formed on the substrate glass 4, and the other end is fixed on the substrate glass 4.
