PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict reception troubles due to a mutual interference between VCO circuits in one cabinet. SOLUTION: The receiver has a digital broadcast reception front end unit 1 having two series of front end circuits A, B. A reference signal p9 generated for a PLL selector circuit 23 in one series is inputted to a PLL selector circuit 24 in other series as a reference signal. It comprises a host CPU 33 which controls both so as to set a local frequency equal to a desired signal frequency in one series and a local frequency equal to (the desired frequency signal) + (a PLL step frequency×n (n is a natural number 1 or greater)). If both the front end circuits A, B receive signals in one channel, a difference of the step frequency n is caused to occur between the local frequencies. this reduces the mutual interference between VCO 21, 22 in the two series of front end circuits A, B and hence avoids reception troubles.
