PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active phased array antenna (APAA) capable of attaining high density mount by decreasing the number of feeding lines to a transmission/ reception module, facilitating module assembling and replacement, and enhancing the mass-productivity and the maintainability. SOLUTION: A wiring board 3 such as a flexible printed circuit board with a desirable wiring pattern 4 formed in advance is wound along an outer circumference of a circumferential face 20A of a carrier 2 made of a triangle cylinder 20 and joined and fixed by a conductive adhesive or the like. After fitting a distribution circuit board 6 to the carrier 2, a transmission/reception module mounting pad 4a and the transmission/reception module 5 are joined to one plane of the carrier 2, the carrier 2 is turned by a prescribed angle and the similar processing is applied also to succeeding planes. Thus, each transmission/reception module 5 is provided with a distribution circuit for distributing power and signals to the transmission/reception module 5, the number of external feeders can be reduced compared with a conventional antenna to attain the mount high density and enhance the maintainability. Further, since the mount face is directed in the same direction at all times, mass-production by an automated attaching machine can easily be made. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
