PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce ESR and ESL of a solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: A capacitor element, of a solid electrolytic capacitor 1, where a part of an anode lead 2 is inserted in an anode body 10 is covered with a housing 7, while lead frames 9 and 20 connected to the peripheral surfaces of the anode lead 2 and the capacitor element 5 protrude outside the housing 7. The node lead 2 is a flat plate. The thickness of anode lead 2 is set to such upper limit value, where a part of the anode lead 2 which is inserted in the anode body 10 is not exposed from the side surface of the anode body 10 independent of variations in fitting position to the anode body 10. The lead frame 9 is flat and overlapped with the anode lead 2 for bonding, with a joint part B1 positioned outside the housing 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
