PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heating device, capable of suitably selecting between the case of uniformly heating the whole of a material to be heated and the case of strongly heating a specified part. SOLUTION: In this high frequency heating device, a heated material placing plate 3 for placing a material 1 to be heated is fixed to the bottom of a heating chamber 2, a high-frequency wave supply chamber 4 is provided below the heated material placing plate 3, and a connecting hole 7 connected to a waveguide pipe 6 is provided in the base 2a of the high-frequency wave supply chamber 4. The base 2a is provided with a high-frequency wave supply port 12a connected to the waveguide pipe 6, and a microwave shutter 12 formed by a metal-made rotatable movable plate 12b and a high-frequency wave supply port 12a is disposed in the waveguide pipe 6, thereby switching between the case of radiating most of high-frequency energy from a magnetron 5 through the high-frequency wave supply port 12a to the heating chamber 2 and the case of radiating from a rotary antenna 11 through the connecting hole 7 to the heating chamber 2.
