PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun capable of sufficiently enhancing the support strength of a lead even if the diameter of the lead is not increased and the middle part of the lead is not supported. SOLUTION: The structure of this electron gun is provided with: a plurality of control electrodes 11-19 arranged in the traveling direction of an electron beam; a stem structure 23 having a terminal pin 24 corresponding to the converging electrode 17 used as a voltage supply object from the outside within a plurality of the control electrodes; and the lead 25 for connecting the converging electrode 17 to a terminal pin 24 corresponding to it and mounted to the stem structure 23. The electron gun is so structured that the terminal pin 24 is joined (welded) to the lead 25 in a linear contact state by jointing an end of the terminal pin 24 to an end 27 of the lead 25 by welding, and by forming the joint surface to the terminal pin 24 in a flat surface-like shape at the end 27 of the lead 25.
