PURPOSE: An oil seal of a shock absorber is provided to prevent the leakage of oil by forming an auxiliary lip and to improve the reliability of a product by avoiding the intrusion of foreign matters between the inner face of an oil seal and a piston rod. CONSTITUTION: An oil seal(140) made of rubber is installed in an inner pipe(120) of a shock absorber(100). The oil seal comprises a body(141) fixed in an outer pipe(110), a main lip(142) adhered to a piston rod(130), and a dust lip(143). An auxiliary lip(145) is installed below the main lip. The auxiliary lip adhered to the outer face of the piston rod prevents the leakage of the oil in the inner pipe.
