<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of power transmission by electromagnetic induction, wherever a receiving device may be placed. <P>SOLUTION: A power-receiving section 31 in a power-receiving device 2 is provided with a magnet 41. Since a sheet 11 of a power supply device 1 is made of a flux-permeable material, iron sand 53 enclosed inside a power supply coil section 12 is attracted by the magnetic force of a magnet 41 to form an iron core to a coil 52, depending on the placement position of the receiving device 2. Namely, wherever the receiving device 2 may be placed on the sheet 11, the iron core is formed by the iron sand 53 immediately below the receiving device 2. When a current is make to flow to the coil 52 in this state, generating flux is concentrated on the coil 42 in the receiving section 31 in the receiving device 2 immediately above the core formed by the iron sand 53, which considerably enhances the efficiency of power transmission by electromagnetic induction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
