PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure insulation between adjoining joint parts of a plurality of conductor segments, while reducing the size of a dynamo electric machine. SOLUTION: The coil of a dynamo electric machine 10 is formed by disposing/inserting, circumferentially and radially, a plurality of almost U-shaped conductor segments 16 in slots 14 of a stator 12, bending the conductor segments 16 protruding from the slots 14 down to a prescribed positions, and jointing the ends of the conductor segments 16 together at the positions. A band-like resin spacer 20, having a high insulation performance, is inserted in the gap between joint parts 18 adjoining radially among the parts where the ends of the conductor segments 16 are jointed (joint parts 18). Thus, a proper insulation performance is kept between the joint parts, while the gaps between the joint parts are minimum, for the compact dynamo electric machine 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
