<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a more stable image by employing a half-tone processing method for altogether reducing a plurality of image noise characteristics which are detected. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a test pattern image generating means 11 for forming a prescribed test pattern image on an image carrier 13, a density distribution measuring means 151 for measuring density distribution of the test pattern image, and an image noise characteristic calculating detecting means 152 for detecting the plurality of image noise characteristics of the test pattern image from the measured density distribution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
