PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine which is capable of providing an easily visible image of an original and is suitably used even if a received image data of the original contains fine characters or figures, or even if a user of a facsimile machine on receiver side is a person with poor eyesight such as an aged person or a person with visual impairment. SOLUTION: The machine is provided with a communication section 2 for receiving image data of an original and data about the size of the original, a received image data magnification section 3 for comparing the size of the original received by the section 2 with the size of a recording medium and magnifying the image data of the received original so that the size of the received original is adapted to the size of the recording medium, a recording section 4 for recording the image of the image data of the received original magnified by the section 3, and a separation information generating section 5 for generating image data of separation information indicating that the image of the image data of the received original are separately recorded in a plurality of recording media.
