PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading mechanism for a disk recording reproducing device with a simple structure capable of exactly detecting the movement of a disk tray to a disk loading direction or a disk unloading direction. SOLUTION: A single tray position detecting switch 10 is disposed at a place proximate to the gate 9 of a housing 7. In the disk tray 1, a large projecting part 12 for trigger is disposed at a position detected by the tray position detecting switch 10 when the large projecting part 12 arrives at the disk loading position or the disk unloading position. A small projecting part 11 for trigger is disposed at a position detected by the tray position detecting switch 10 immediately before the small projecting part 11 arrives at an area kept away from the two positions mentioned above. A control portion 13 discriminates the stop position of the disk tray 1 by means of the on or the off of the tray position detecting switch 10. A loading motor 18 is rotated and controlled so that the disk tray 1 may be transported in the direction opposite to the discriminated stop position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
