<p>The apparatus consists of parallel driving rollers arranged in pairs, one above and one below the path of the article. Group 1 is a pair of contra-rotating feed rollers. Group 2 consists of four rollers, two on one side driven in the feed direction, two on the other side driven in opposite senses, the first in the feed direction, the other pref. separated from it by a distance enabling one part of the wrapper to freely fold up. Group 3 is similar to Group 2 but with the rollers on opposite sides; the two contra-rotating rollers on one side are pref. close enough to pinch the other wrapper part between them. Group 4 is the same as Group 1. May be used to process film for radiation monitoring.</p> |
