<p>A method of manufacturing glass particulate sedimentary body capable of increasing a quality by reducing a variation in outside diameter of a glass particulate sedimentary body and a method of manufacturing a glass base material, wherein the local cooling of the glass particulate deposit body (20) in the front layer thereof is prevented by limiting the air volume of clean gas (CG) led into a storage part (10) to suppress a longitudinal variation in bulk density, i.e., a variation in outside diameter and cracking of the glass particulate sedimentary body (20).</p> |
