PURPOSE: A system for announcing a new telephone number having a call connection function as automatically delivering an inquired telephone number is provided to transmit an inquired telephone number as a voice, and to transmit a subscriber name with the inquired telephone number to a wired telephone or a cellular phone, thereby preventing transmission errors through a voice transmission system. CONSTITUTION: When a user of the first cellular phone(10) or a user of a wired telephone(11) supporting a telephone number display function makes inquiry about a desirous telephone number by making a call to a telephone number announcing system(20), a telephone number announcer(21) searches the inquired telephone number from the telephone number announcing system(20), and operates a mode for a direct telephone call to the inquired telephone number. An automatic conversion connector(40) automatically connects the call with the inquired telephone number. If the call is connected, a call charge accounting system is interworked.
