PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a moving vehicle regardless of an installation place in this moving vehicle detecting system. SOLUTION: An aircraft detecting system relates to an embodiment when applying this invention to position detection of an aircraft in an airport, and has a communication device 10i (i=a, etc., n) arranged in a plurality of respective lighting systems 5i (i=a, etc., n) buried in a road surface of a taxiway 1 and a runway 2, and an information control device 20 arranged in a control tower. The communication device 10i comprises a GPS antenna 11i (i=a, etc., n) for receiving a GPS radio wave from a GPS satellite, a GPS device 12i (i=a, etc., n), and a communication part 13i (i=a, etc., n). The information control device 20 is a device for detecting a position of the aircraft 4 on the basis of position information 6i from the communication device 10i, and comprises a communication part 21, a monitor 22, a display device 24, and a display control device 23 for controlling a display in this display device.
