An optical transmission/reception module is formed by optically connecting ferrules each having an optical fiber buried and includes a ferrule connection member in which a part or entire circumferential surface of an optical fiber is exposed from the end of each ferrule and a guide sleeve for positioning where the ferrule connection member is inserted. The end surfaces of the optical fibers are brought into abutment with each other for optical demultiplexing.
