PURPOSE: A terminal assembly for a compressor is provided to use the terminal assembly in common for a reciprocating compressor or a linear compressor, and to assemble a connector with a terminal firmly by restricting displacement of the connector with forming regulating bosses in a cover. CONSTITUTION: A terminal assembly comprises a connector(70) inserted to a terminal(50) penetrating a closed container to electrically connect the terminal to a connecting line(72); a terminal frame(61) installed around the closed container with mounting the connector; and a cover(80) having regulating bosses(82,83) shielding parts in the terminal frame and restricting displacement of the connector. Two regulating bosses are arranged corresponding to the length of the connector to prevent displacement of the connector in spite of changing the installation direction of the connector according to arrangement of the terminal. The terminal assembly is used for the reciprocating compressor and the linear compressor, and the connector is combined with the terminal firmly.
