<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production planning method and a production planning system for easily performing effective inventory management while taking production constraints into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: These production planning method and production planning system have the following (1) to (4) means: a means for setting standard inventory quantity and a standard lot size in each brand name (1); a means for calculating orders in hand about an ordered product in the each brand name (2); a means for extracting lots until the total of standard lot sizes of brand names constituting extracted lots reaches a produciable amount in a production plan object period in the order of a lot with a smaller margin calculated in the following expression when a combination of a brand name and an integer n≥0 is defined as a lot: a margin = (inventory quantity and account - orders in hand + n×standard lot size)/standard inventory quantity (3), and a means for determining a production schedule while the brand names constituting the lots extracted by the extracting means are defined as a production candidate brand name and the number of lots extracted in each production candidate brand name as the number of lots requested for production (4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
