IMAGE REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing apparatus capable of quickly displaying a list of image files with excellent visibility in the case that an image file generated by other apparatus is recorded on a recording medium and reproducible image files and image files unable to be reproduced are intermingled and recorded on the recording medium. SOLUTION: The image reproducing apparatus is provided with: an identification information storage means (identification information storage section 6) for storing an identification result by an identification means (identification section 4) as identification information; and a reproduction propriety discrimination means (reproduction propriety discrimination section 7) for using the identification information to discriminate whether or not the image file is to be reproduced. Recording the information as to whether or not the image file is reproduced can prevent unnecessary access to the image files unable to be reproduced. Further, a display method of the reproduction disabled files is selected to improve the visibility. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
