PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector stably and smoothly operable by a drive unit having a further excellent mechanical function. SOLUTION: This electric connector loaded with a chip module and used for electric connection to a circuit board comprises a base having a plurality of terminals and a plurality of terminal housing grooves, a cover having terminal through-holes, and the drive unit which slidably fixes the cover to the base. The drive unit comprises a cam extended through the base and cover and a rivet pad provided on the end portion of the cam to prevent the separation of the cover and base. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
