Purification and/or disinfection of (waste) water in a reservoir involves passing the water to a reactor which is also pressurized by ozone or an ozone/air mixture such that the ozone is at least partly dissolved in the water, this reactor being within or outside of the reservoir while not projecting above the reservoir. An Independent claim is also included for a reactor for purification and/or disinfection of (waste) water in a reservoir comprising inlets for the water and the purification/disinfection gas, as well as a chamber (17) for dissolving the gas in the water and an outlet for returning the treated water to the reservoir.
