PURPOSE: A system and method for managing a lock and a release of an account/card is provided to maintain security by setting a telephone number of a wireless terminal device of an individual as one key and setting a password for locking and releasing the account/card as another key. CONSTITUTION: A locking and releasing agent program selects an account through an input window being supplied from an account/card locking and releasing input module(S31). An event for locking or releasing the selected bank account is selected(S32). Account locking and releasing passwords are inputted with respect to the selected bank account(S33). The selected event contents, the inputted passwords, and the bank account are transmitted to an authentication server(S34). The authentication server checks a telephone number of the wireless terminal device(S35). The authentication server checks whether the telephone number is registered(S36). If the telephone number is a registered telephone number, the authentication server checks whether the transmitted account locking and releasing passwords are registered(S37). The authentication server transmits event contents and the objected account number to a bank server(S38). The bank server locks or releases a bank account corresponded to the objected account number(S39).
