摘要 PURPOSE: A heating and cooling device using hydrogen storage alloys and a control method of the heating and cooling device are provided to improve efficiency in spite of environmental-friendly and simplified structure and maximize efficiency by always keeping the moving amount of hydrogen regular regardless of the state of each operation region. CONSTITUTION: A heating and cooling device using hydrogen storage alloys includes a pair of reactors(10,20) cooling or heating the ambient air, using endothermic reaction and exothermic reaction by reaction of the hydrogen storage alloys and hydrogen; temperature sensors(110,120) each disposed to the reactors; a pumping unit(30) generating pressure difference to forcibly move hydrogen of the one reactor to the other reactor; a bypass pipe(50c) branching off from hydrogen-moving pipes(50a,50b) and connecting the reactors; a bypass valve(60) controlling the opening and shutting of the bypass pipe; and a controller(100) sensing the current temperature of each reactor according to signals applied from the temperature sensors, comparing the current temperature variation with a predetermined temperature variation and calculating the moving amount of hydrogen, and controlling output of the pumping unit according the moving amount of hydrogen. Accordingly, heating and cooling efficiency is improved. Thus, environmental pollution is prevented and the manufacturing cost is reduced by the simplified structure.
