PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a protective film having a hard coat layer excellent in scratching resistance, weather resistance and transparency, and capable of being used by pasting it on the side of outdoors for a long period. SOLUTION: This protective film has a hard coat layer containing an ultraviolet light-absorbing agent on one side of a resin film and an adhesive layer containing the ultraviolet light-absorbing agent on the another side surface. The adhesive layer and/or hard coat layer preferably contain a heat rays- insulating agent, or are further installed with a layer containing the heat rays- insulating agent. The hard coat layer consists preferably of a cured material of a covering composition (a) containing a compound having≥1 polymerizable functional group having an active energy beam-curing property as a curing component.
