The invention relates to a feeler used for non-destructive control of welds by ultrasounds, for determining the orientation of defects in the cast, rolled and forged pieces as well as for measuring the wall thickness of some metal pieces. The feeler made in the angular or normal, simple or double configuration comprises a piezoelectric tablet (1) glued on a plate (2) for adapting the mechanical impedances, said piezoelectric tablet consisting of a mixture of aluminum oxide granules and a bicomponent epoxide adhesive, the adapting plate (2) in its turn being glued on a feeling body (3). On the upper surface of the piezoelectric tablet (1) there is glued a sound damper (4) and there are mounted an electric resistor (5) and a coil (6) connected to a metal-braided cable (7). All the component elements are introduced into a housing (8) and secured by a compound (9) comprising 20% granules of aluminum oxide and 80% silicone rubber.
