[Class 104 (iii)] A current-collector comprises a body 18 supporting a guard 3 in which the shoe 2 is mounted, and provided with means whereby the shoe and guard can rotate in two planes relative to the body. The guard shoe pivot on a horizontal spindle 11 mounted in bearings 12 carried by a vertical spindle 14 rotatable in a sleeve 16 in the body. An extension 20 of the spindle 14 carries a loop 22 for moving the trolley head. The shoe is mounted in the guard 3 by means of lugs 4 projecting into the guard and engaged by screws 5. In another form, the shoe is connected to the guard by a dovetail-joint with means for tightening same, and consists of a number of parts. |
