<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a zoom system that can easily be made small-sized and simple and has stable high imaging performance from an infinite distance to a short distance, whose total thickness of respective groups is made small and the thickness in lens system storage is made small. <P>SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises a front group G2F, which is composed of a negative 1st group G1, an aperture stop S, a positive 2nd group G2, and a positive 3rd group G3 while only the 2nd group moves to an object side in power variation from a wide angle end to a telephoto end. The 2nd group is composed of a positive lens, a negative lens, and a positive lens, and a rear group G2R composed of a negative lens; and the 2nd group rear group G2R is movable alone for focusing and meet conditional expressions (1) and (2) to actualize compact constitution and efficient aberration compensation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
