PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web conveying device capable of accurately measuring tension of a web without influence from a driving means even in a conveying roller driven by the driving means and conveying the web. SOLUTION: The web conveying device is provided with a web supporting roller wound with the web which is a continuous band-like body, the driving means provided so that a load and vibration are not transmitted to the web supporting roller, a web tension measuring means of detecting pressing force acting on the web supporting roller from the web and determining the tension of the web, and a torque transmitting means interposed between the web supporting roller and the driving means for transmitting torque of the driving means to the web supporting roller while absorbing a displacement between the web supporting roller and the driving means.
