PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing device which permits exchange in a lump and can realize a low running cost by realizing a gas remover capable of efficiently capturing the sublimated or vaporized substances produced from a heat developing section and removing the odors of organic solvents, etc., and to curtail the man-hours, for maintenance by preventing the substances produced from the heat developing section from sticking as dirt to the interior of the developing device. SOLUTION: The heat developing device 10 has the gas remover 8 obtained by forming a solidifying and capturing section 81 for cooling and solidifying the sublimated or vaporized substances produced in heat developing a heat developable material having a latent image by heating in the heat developing section 5 by mixing air with these substances and capturing the substances and a deodorizing filter section 82 for adsorbing the organic solvents produced in heat development to one unit.
