PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide substruction works for structures to be built above the site for railway line and its construction method capable of increasing the bearing capacity by enlarging the flexibility for piling work thereby increasing the design flexibility of the superstructure. SOLUTION: The substructure comprises a plurality of foundations 4 built to extend in direction crossing the railway line at intervals, a plurality of underground beams 5 built at intervals so as to connect adjacent foundations 4 to each other, a plurality of piles 6 built underground below the foundations 4, and a plurality of columns 7 built protruding from the foundations 4 to aboveground.
