摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing an N-substituted carbazole derivative by which the carbazole derivative having a chemical structure containing introduced various substituents useful as a constituent material for an organic EL, a fluorescent material, an organic buffer layer, etc., or a synthetic raw material for polymers by condensation polymerization can efficiently be produced. SOLUTION: A reactional system in the method for producing the carbazole derivative represented by R-Cz (wherein, Cz is an N-carbazolyl group, an aryl group and an alkyl group) comprises the following. An organic solvent containing an existing combination of a catalyst MLn (wherein, M is Pd or Ni; L is a bulky organophosphorus compound ligand; and n is an integer) with a salt selected from the group consisting of a tert-butoxyalkali metal, a carbonate, an acetate or a phosphate of an alkali metal and an organic amine and functioning as a hydrogen halide acceptor, etc., or an existing combination of the catalyst with a salt selected from the group consisting of copper iodide, a bulky diamine ligand and the tert-butoxyalkali metal, a carbonate or a phosphate of the alkali metal and functioning as the hydrogen halide acceptor, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
