The contact array (1) has a housing (2) made of insulating material and accommodating several individual clamping springs (5). The springs are in contact with current rails (4) which engage tongues on cross-contacts (10). There are clamping screws (7) engaging the contacts in the chambers in the housing and there is a lid (8) which fits on top of the contact assembly.
