<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the quality of an image formed on the surface of an image carrier without consuming power or generating a noise. <P>SOLUTION: An image-forming case 13 nearly hermetically sealing the periphery of the image carrier 14 except the transfer position of a toner image to a body to be transferred is provided in the main body case 2 of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus 1 for transferring the toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier 14 to the body to be transferred, and a dehumidifying unit 23 possessing dehumidifying material having moisture absorbing property is provided in the case 13.
