PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus by which toner is effectively recovered and whose constitution is new. SOLUTION: In an exhaust means 72 provided at the developing device of the image forming apparatus, an intake tube 71 is attached to the intake port 87 of a pump 86, and an exhaust tube 73 is attached to an exhaust port 88, and an eccentric pin 91 attached to the driving shaft 90 of a motor 89 is fitted in one part 93 of a rubber member 92. Since the motor 89 is driven by being linked with a developing motor and the center of the rubber member 92 is moved back and forth by the driving of the motor 89, an intake valve is opened and an exhaust valve is closed so that air in the developing device 14 is sucked from the suction port 79 of a suction duct 75 and is taken in the pump 86 from the intake port 87 by passing through an exhaust path in the intake tube 71, or the intake valve is closed and the exhaust valve is opened, so that air in the pump 86 is sent to a toner storing means 74 by passing through the exhaust path of the exhaust tube 73.
