PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the non-lighting of a flash device under darkness and to increase light quantity in the case of emitting flash light. SOLUTION: A flash turning-on circuit 32 charges a main capacitor 33, and also applies trigger voltage to a xenon discharge tube 21 so as to make the tube 21 emit light. A control circuit 31 makes a flash light emission instruction based on the depressing of a shutter button 34, gives it to the circuit 32, and also controls to turn on an auxiliary light source 24 earlier than the flash light emitting instruction. Thus, xenon gas enclosed in the tube 21 is excited, so that arc discharge easily occurs. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
