PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-standing bag of excellent shock-resistance in a fall or the like, and of excellent function of essentially required self-standing property of a vessel. SOLUTION: A self-standing bag manufacturing method comprises a bag body forming step of forming a bag body of a pair of flat surface parts to constitute a front side and a rear side of a bag and a pair of side which are interposed between the flat surface parts and formed in a folding wall shape with folding lines folded inward of the bag, a bottom surface part forming step of forming a bottom surface part of the self-standing bag with one mouth part of the bag body part closed, a step of thermally fusing a peripheral edge of the bottom surface part and one mouth part of the bag body part to a boundary part of the bottom surface part and the bag body part, and a step of thermally fusing the boundary part of the flat surface part and the side surface parts of the bag body part.
